"Dino" Birthday Party

Weston's Nashville Birthday Party was wonderful! We had so much fun. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it! :) We had a Dinosaur themed party and grilled burgers..."Brontosaurus Burgers"! We also had "Dino Dogs" (hot dogs), "Ve-pasta-raptor Salad" (pasta salad), and vegetables "for the herbivores". Weston got SO many wonderful things to play with and a few precious outfits. We can't believe he's already ONE!

Eating the cake...such FUN!

Cake Pops (thanks to Sarah for the idea!) These were delicious! Click HERE to see the website for instructions and ideas! :) We will definitely make these again!

"Dino Eggs" - Hard boiled eggs soaked in kool-aid the night before to resemble cracked colorful eggs

The "Digging Station" - The kids were able to fill up a cup with "fossil dirt" (crushed oreo's), "swamp pudding" (chocolate pudding), "prehistoric worms" (gummy worms), "prehistoric slugs" (gummy slugs), & "dino eggs" (jelly beans)

The Dinosaur Cake

The party favors were pails & shovels for "digging dino fossils"...they were filled with dinosaur tattoos, a "grow a dinosaur" toy, dinosaur stickers, and more!

A few fun facts about Weston at the age of ONE:
*He loves chicken fingers, grilled cheese, ketchup, and fruit--especially strawberries.
*He loves carrots & broccoli.
*He's officially drinking WHOLE MILK! WooHoo for Mommy & Daddy's "raise" now that we aren't paying for formula!
*He's WALKING! He prefers to walk now instead of crawl...although when he falls, he crawls to the nearest place to pull himself up instead of just standing back up.
*He knows the words "Dada" & "No-no"...We also think he's saying, "Da" for "yes" but we aren't positive.
*I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before (which I should have...I'll make an entire post about it soon) but he LOVES his "bunny". He sleeps with it every night and cuddles with it. It's a stuffed bunny that his Aunt Ashley gave him when he was still in Mommy's tummy.
*He loves to play "peek a boo"...if you say, "Where's Weston?", he will cover his eyes...sometimes for quite some time...he'll peek between his fingers and then remove his hands and smile the biggest smile....we'll then say, "There he is!!" and he'll start the game all over by covering his eyes again.
