Carrollton Christmas

Merry Christmas to all! We traveled to Carrollton for Christmas and boy, was it a wonderful Christmas! Weston was spoiled (as usual, at either of the Grandparent's) and it was great. Weston had so many fun gifts that he literally spent every waking hour of 2 full days playing. And you can bet that he took great naps during those days :)

Weston is really into Mickey Mouse and the alphabet. Anything that has to do with either of those is going to be looooved. He impresses us every day with his alphabet skills (he knows every single letter - and their sounds) and is starting to love numbers, too. He's counting (in his own language), but counting nonetheless. It's incredible to witness.

Golf Pro

Weston went on a little golf outing to take pictures for Pop Pop Frank's birthday. Pop Pop gave Weston golf clubs that are the perfect size for him and Weston was able to use them on an actual golf course. We actually snuck out on a course and I let Weston run around and hit the balls for a while, but how we were able to play doesn't matter that much, right?

Weston the Elephant

Halloween was SOOO much fun! Weston loves elephants, so that's what he dressed up as. He loves to make the elephant noise (which he can do waaay better than us!) and points out every elephant he sees in books or movies. He just loves them.

We thought it would be fun for Weston to help me carve a pumpkin, but in order to really feel like he was making his own, we let him paint his! He had such a wonderful time getting paint everywhere and not having any rules. Free painting can be such fun! And his pumpkins turned out beautiful...

3rd Year at Gentry's Farm

This was our 3rd year in a row going to Gentry's Farm. We had such a great time! Weston is reallllly growing up. Each year we go he enjoys it more and more. He played on the swingset/jungle gym shaped like a tractor, played in corn and grain mills, hung out with the goats, chickens, and roosters, and also mastered his way through a hay maze. To say Weston was exhausted by the end was an understatement. When it was time to pick out his pumpkin, he did so in an extremely rushed manner and had a temper tantrum while Eric and I were picking out our pumpkins. No matter how the afternoon ended, Weston had a wonderful time and it was a great family day together :)

Weston's 2nd Birthday - Blues Clues

Weston had a wonderful second birthday!! We took him to Chuck E Cheese on his actual birthday (June 9) and then had his party on Saturday. He has been obsessed with Blues Clues so we had a Blues Clues themed birthday. We had great family and friends come over to watch the kids play in the sand, water, and bouncy house. We grilled hot 'dogs' and enjoyed themed appetizers.

We can't believe Weston is already 2 years old!! My how time flies. These have been such special years and we look forward to many, many more!! Happy Birthday, Weston!!!

The Sale Barn with Poppa!

We went to Carrollton & Atlanta last weekend for one of our friend's weddings and had a great time. For Weston, however, the highlight of his trip was going to the Sale Barn with Poppa on Monday!! We went to the restaurant within the barn and had a wonderful "southern fried lunch". After lunch, Poppa showed Weston around. We had to leave before the auction started, but we were able to go in the back and walk the "cat walk"! Weston LOVED seeing all the cows and checking everything out. I'm so glad we were able to do this :)
