Bye Bye, Baby Bath!

We made the transition from baby bath to real tub. Weston loves it! He has so much more room to play and roam around. He absolutely had the best time in the bath last night. Although it's a little more scary for us, because we have to watch him much more closely, he is just as happy as a boy can be during bath time.

Splash Splash!

He's going to kill me for this picture later, but I couldn't resist!

Hanging out in Mommy & Daddy's bed while they get ready for the day...I will FINALLY hold my own bottle. This was a long time comin'...

11 Months on Mother's Day

Sweet Weston is 11 months old. I admit I'm having trouble comprehending this...our baby is not a little baby...he's a little boy! Ah! Time is a treasure and we are cherishing every day!

The pictures below are from so many different things...we are packing so much fun into every day and I capture it all on camera. First, Weston got into his first baby pool. He had so much fun--we knew he would because he is in love with bath time. He had fun splashing around and playing with toys--but the majority of his fun was climbing in and out of the pool. I know, dangerous. But I was standing right there. He only managed to fall under water once, in which I captured the moment and the after moment on his face. Terror. But he didn't cry and kept right on climbing in and out. Second, on Mother's day I wanted to go to the Renaissance Festival in Nashville...so we did. Lots of fun! Very interesting people there at that festival but we had a great time...it was just what I wanted---to spend the day with Eric & Weston. Lastly, Eric and I went to Steeplechase (http://www.iroquoissteeplechase.org/) on Saturday with great friends. We had such a blast!

Weekend Getaway

Weston and I traveled to Highlands, NC last weekend! We met Gamma up there for a nice little relaxing trip. We had SO much fun.

I'm sure most of you have heard about all the flooding in Nashville. It's been crazy! Opryland hotel is under water, the Titan's stadium looks like a swimming pool, and so many people have lost their houses, cars, and loved ones. We got over 15 inches of rain in 48 hours. Luckily Weston and I weren't here to bear witness, but Eric was--he said it literally didn't stop pouring for 2 days. And due to the damage, I certainly believe it. Downtown is still without power and schools haven't resumed yet. Our house wasn't damaged and we are certainly alright...but keep please the rest of the Nashville community in your prayers!

We bought Weston a lollipop as big as his face...he really enjoyed it and was so sticky afterward that we had to give him an immediate bath! :)

If you're wondering about the boo-boo on Weston's forehead, it's just another every day battle wound...It seems like every time we turn around Weston has another bump or bruise. This particular one happened when the one arm he was using to balance himself next to the couch decided to let go and he face planted into the rug...

Weston's first ice cream (I actually chickened out and got him yogurt, but it tasted just like ice cream!)

We had rain in Highlands, too! But at least Weston got to sport his rain coat (thank you, Grandma Joyce!)...he was PRECIOUS!

Weston is FINALLY drinking out of a sippy cup on a regular basis...he was a little 'behind the times' on this task :)

Ok, so here's a video of Weston having the time of his life in his walker. He has figured out how to "drive" this thing around and loves it.
*Warning* This video is 6 minutes long. We will not get our feelings hurt if you get bored halfway through. We are aware that the little things our son does may not be as amusing to you as they are to us. BUT be sure to watch the last 30 seconds...Weston surprised us with a "first" and we caught it on camera.
