Another Great Weekend

Yet another great weekend with Weston has come and gone...He'll be 3 weeks old tomorrow! Crazy!

Aunt Sarah & Uncle Austin came to visit on Saturday and meet little Weston...Apparently Sarah really has the touch with W because he grinned while he slept, only when Sarah held him. If you look closely, he's smiling in this picture! So cute...

On Saturday, we had a little family fiesta on the deck...we grilled chicken and made burritos. Delicious! We even made a couple margaritas for the grown ups...yum!

Look how big Eric's hands appear on Weston...ha! Weston had a tight grip on those thumbs..he was enjoying being outside and hanging out with his parents!

Aunt Lydia...

Aunt Lydia came to visit before and after Weston was born...she was a savior when she came before he arrived when she helped us get the house in order and run all of our last minute errands...and we (and Weston) surely appreciated it when she came back after he arrived!! :) Lydia cooked a couple meals for us and helped us out when we needed it. We can't wait for her to come back...& Weston is really looking forward to meeting Olivia, too...who knows, maybe Olivia will like younger boys!

13 Days Old

Weston will be 2 weeks old tomorrow! We went to our "2 week wellness check-up" today and our Doctor says everything is great. Weston has gained a half pound in the past week, which puts him weighing 8lbs 1oz. He has also grown 1/2 an inch. Dr Makundun says he is more than pleased with Weston's progress and we'll head back in 6 weeks for our 2 month check-up.

Weston's first outing! We went to Target to grab a few baby supplies...he was so good throughout the entire trip...but he got a little fussy towards the end. All in all, a great first outing!

We had a fantastic first Father's day. We cooked breakfast, had a lazy day filled with tons of family time, and cooked out on Daddy's new grill...

One week old!

Weston was a full week old last night at 11:16pm...it's so hard to believe it's already been a week! He has already changed so much and continues to change every day...

He has really started to focus on your facial features and he is way more in tune with his surroundings. Weston sleeps in 2-3 hour increments (sometimes 4) and has been the best baby. He's not too moody and really doesn't cry unless he's getting his diaper or clothes changed. He's amazing.

We also had our 1 week check up yesterday...everything is wonderful! Weston is back to birth weight...7lb 8oz...Our pediatrician said the goal for all of his patients is to be back to birth weight by the 2 week check up... and Weston is already there. Looks like we've also got a baby that loves to eat!

First Sponge Bath

Weston had his first sponge bath on Sunday, June 14. He didn't mind it at first, but when he realized he wasn't getting out right away, and the water cooled off, he was definitely ready to jump out of the tub.

I think he was in shock when we got him out...

Weston with Dr. Mukunden...the best pediatrician! He's so wonderful with Weston and really eases our minds with any questions or concerns we may have.

Weston gained 3 ounces in just 2.5 days! He's a growing boy! He is also in the 75% percentile for height...looks like we've added a tall addition to the family!

If you've met Weston, you surely noticed his large hands, fingers, feet, and toes...he's ready for any and every sport possible.

Weston is wearing the outfit Eric came home from the hospital in when he was a baby...it's a handmade sweater and blanket by Eric's God-mother. Eric was born in PA in October so it was quite cooler then...but we wanted to put these clothes on Weston as they have such a special meaning...he looked so handsome and they fit perfectly!

G-Mom Putnam was changing Weston on the pack-n-play and Lucy decided she just had to know what was going on...she jumped up and into the pack-n-play all by herself...like we said, she's so curious!
